Toned morgans

    DSCF3321.jpg DSCF3320.jpg I just bought a group (27) of toned Morgans. The estate I bought them from purchased them in 1988 from a New York dealer who graded then MS64-66. I will be sending them into PCGS so I hope the dealer from New York was right. Jim

    That 78 sure doesn't look 64 to me.

    Agreed. The 81 does, but there sure are a lot of bag marks and whatever that is in the field on the left, on the 78 to be 64.

    I think the coin will MS63. The person who was buying these coins was a retired widow who knew nothing about coins other than they were pretty. I tried to put more photo's on but had trouble again doing so. I sent 17 of the coins into PCGS today to get graded so we will see in about 30 days. Jim

    Without the benefit of seeing the reverse I can't imagine the '78 will go higher than 62 and I'd vote for 60-61. The '81 looks like a 63. JMO.

    And yea the 78 looks 63 tops IMO
