I recently came across a Capital holder with 12, toned Buffalo nickels from 1934-1938. This was the first set I have come across and I couldn't pass it up. I do believe they are all uncirculated, based on the luster. Some strikes are better than others, but overall it's a beautiful matching set.

    Weight: 5 grams
    Diameter: 21.2mm
    Designer: James Earle Fraser

Very nice find. I think the '36-D or '38 D are my two favorites. Great set.

34-D and 37-S are my favorites, despite the weak strikes.

    Wonderful short set!

Thanks for all the kind words. They will now enter the abyss known as my collection. Forgotten and never to be heard from again.

I love that 37-P!! This is a series that is growing on me and I'm sure a bunch of other collectors that might not look at non-PM issues.

I love it. Your post should have been pick a favorite, but I can't. Everyone of those has has eye appeal great color and although the strike is better on some than other it would be difficult to pick one based solely on strike as they are each unique in themselves. The '36D appears the strongest to me but I love the color on the entire set. That is an awesome pick up. I'm still upset over a similar set I got sniped on eBay. That's what I get for thinking I could get a steal on it. Also the pictures are wonderful as usual.
