    Hello
I was coin roll searching, when a token Denver uncirculated cent fell out of the roll. I studied the information on line, and know they were a token found in mint sets. I want to save it just as a novelty. I want to write down the date they were minted, but couldn't find one. I know the Philly mint stopped making them. But no beginning or ending date for the Denver one. So, my question is: When did they make these coins and are they still available today? Thanks so much.

You should be able to find them from the mid 80's at least to 98'
There will be one from each mint in the yearly sets.

They were discontinued the same year.

I believe they began withthe resumption of the mint sets in 1984. They are struck on copper plated zinc cent planchets. I believe they ended whenever the mint started using "blister packs" for the mint sets. I think that was 1999 when they starter including all the state quarters.

OK checked some images, the blister packs came later, but 1999 was the last year for the mint tokens in the sets. They are there in the 1999 sets but the 2000 sets do not have them.
