I just had to buy this token. Have seen many of them at auctions. I go to many estate sales/auctions.

So, It is about 1 1/2" in diameter--

    Looking for input and info--

Twice a year there is a show in Vegas called the ASD.
You have to have some type of business to get in.
There is always a booth there selling these wholesale.
Hundreds of designs with an antique look.

yep straight up fake. Learned that anything bigger than a quarter is usally a fake.

Back to the auction and sell it away.

Yep, modern repro. Here's an interesting perspective on why these are more than a little bit objectionable...

While there is plenty of documentation of advertising tokens put out by French brothels from ~1870-1920 (usually brass shell cards good for a drink inside the establishment), I've only been able to find 2 tokens that *may* be brass checks.

Yeah, like this one. How much you think this one is worth George? Definitely a shell card token. Feels light in weight, feels like plastic but it's different. CellPhone 1285.JPG

I've seen that in a small and large 3 variety... I think that one is a small 3, which would be worth between $20 & $30. The large 3 seems to be slightly less common (maybe a $5 bump).
