Today's WTH thread

Saw this on eBay. Opinions? Either fake or silly puttyed. It's definitely polished no matter what.

Faded fingerprints also. Very questionable!

 

Looks chrome-plated to me. The coin's probably been messed with, but the photos have definitely been messed with. I've got better things to do with that ten-foot pole.

 

Fingerprints say no and so does the coin!

 

Is there even a plural for Silly Putty (op said Silly puttyed). Is this another April Fools joke? WTH! Enough said...............................

 

One look tells me to avoid it, so I will.

 

No joke. I messaged the seller and asked him about it. Said he inherited it from his grandfather and was going to take it to a coin shop for advice if the buyer returned it. Sounds like an innocent seller, but you never know. He thanked me for pointing those things out.

Could just be hard to get good pictures of a shiny coin with a cell phone.
In hand you would have to make a decision.

 

I don't know what to think about the coin. The image is really messed up.

 

The images are messed up, I'm with Larry. Looks like a chrome bumper in those images.
