Today's Herod

Here's the fourth of the Herod coins that I purchased last week. I'm giving Herod Senior a rest today and posting a Herod Junior (Archelaus). Herod the Great will return tomorrow.

Thank you, Mat! Also, outstanding avatar! I've always been a bit of a Bonapartist. I visited the Waterloo Battlefield years ago—of course that was a place that Napoleon should have avoided.

 

Lucky, his history is actually what got me really into history in grade school. So he has a special place in my favorite historical figure list.

Joan of Arc being the female historical figure.
