So, i had lost interest in coins but today i gained back some of my enthusiasm. I havent bought any coins all year, so i decided to visit the meltdown shop and see what they had. 1st coin came from junk bin- A nice rotated reverse error Imaged to show orientation (Best one ive found yet) 2nd coin also came from junk bin- 1890 cc morgan dollar 3rd coin has the most clash marks ive ever seen on a 1921 Morgan (Guess the vam if you are inclined) For a grand total of $75, i feel pretty damn good about todays haul. Hopefully i can flip one or 2 of these and make some beer money. @Dave Waterstraat @jtlee321 @ddddd @Pickin and Grinin @Paddy54 @C-B-D
“Meltdown shop” Damaged CCs used to sell like hotcakes and I doubt anything had changed in this respect. I don’t see why you couldn’t double your money on this one.
Nice haul! The '86-O should get a portion of your $75 back. For the 1921, I see the eagle's wing, the cap vee, the bridge of her nose, the leaf tips and some of the leaves but what I don't see is a letter transfer. Shucks! Chris
They are dumping an NGC (presumed to be graded Mint State) graded 1921 Morgan Dollar in a melt bin??? What gives?
Its got a partial N of IN & M designer initial clash but they dont stand out like the rest of the clash marks. Still, 21s just arent seen this busy very often.
Its basically a coin shop that employs people who know nothing about coins. Ive heard they do this strategically to rip people off. It works both ways though, as ive scored a few CCs, mint errors etc from these places. One time i bought a 20 cent piece that was marked as a quarter and only paid $7 for it in a nice VF
My day just got even better, been trying to locate this stuff for 2-3 weeks now. These bottles dissapear off the shelf w/in 15 mins of when the delivery truck arrives. Sounds crazy right?? I actually got the last bottle in stock
Melt Down Shops, funny the first thing that popped into my head was Walmart. There's always a kid screaming and crying and having a "Melt Down". LOL Sweet haul!! I'd certainly be flipping some of that for a profit.
