So today was the first time in a long time that I actually did some shopping at a coin dealer. The guy must have a pretty low overhead, because he is located in the indoor section of a flea market. His prices were pretty good in my opinion. I got a 1852 3 cent piece, 1888 seated dime, 1844 O seated quarter, 1926 S standing lib quarter, and a 1928 D standing liberty quarter. I definitely plan on going back. I wanted to see what you think of my finds, and what you would grade them. I think I did alright! Sorry about the pics, some came out bad. I spliced them together so I could add more to the post, except for the 3 cent and the dime.

That's what I was trying to decide Ltrain, because of the light scratches, and how theres just a little bit of dirt around 1888 and one dime...

I really like the 3 cent pieces too for some reason, I'm not sure why yet, but they just draw me in...definitely want to go back to this guy...

You all beat me to it. I'm glad you had fun today and added some coins to your collection, but I agree that seated liberty dime has been cleaned. You even listed all the reasons that made me think so. Next time, trust your gut!

I have a love affair with standing liberty quarters. I only have a few in my collection; I've been concentrating elsewhere. Someday I'll tackle a date / mint mark set of SLQs, but there are a few key coins that will make it rather pricey.

This was my first big coin purchase in a while long time, so I wasn't really too concerned with what I bought, and only got stuff because I liked it, but oh well it still looks nice.

I like the standing lib quarters too, they were nice and cheap.

The guy was doing $1 face junk US silver for about $12.50, almost got a couple dollars, almost got a seated half dime too, but the reverse on the one I had picked looked pretty beat up. Next time!
