To Reed or not to Reed?

    I reed. That's the third side on most coins. It is very helpful for authentication and grading (repairs, etc.).

    I look at the edge when possible, and, when necessary, use the reeds as landmarks to check the alignment of things on the face of the coin. I've never actually counted reeds, though.

    Well when playing clarinet I always use synthetic reeds nowadays. I find a quicker response, better tone, and they are less exhausting for my mouth.
