To Error or not?

    Was looking through some 1944 P BU Walking Liberty half dollars and ran across one with what appears to be a D stamped on Liberity's arm. (see photos) Can anyone tell if this is an error coin or just a ding? Thanks PICT0041 (2).JPG PICT0041 (3).JPG PICT0041 (5).JPG PICT0044 (2).JPG

    It can't be a dropped element letter because it is not the same size of any of the other letter D's
