To BU or not to BU... That is the Question...
So.. The other day I saw a set of BU 1959 through 2009 P&D Lincolns on sale on Ebay..
And I thought to myself that I might like to upgrade one of my Two Books.. I have Two 100 Year Sets of Lincoln Cents.. 1909-2009 P,D&S.. Missing only the 1909svdb and the 14D in both sets.... So I pulled my books out and started looking through them.. The more I looked the more trouble I had even thinking about replacing any of them.. They all look so nice together.. in one book the have all been together well over 60 Years.. they are toned together.. Just so nice.. I couldn't do it.. So I went to the Second book.. These are Much more worn.. But I put this book together myself.. I worked on it.. and it has charm, Cant do it.
Anyone else keep sets that could be upgraded but have such sentimental or Style Value that you just can't..
    I know.. "Start another set"
I cant even think about starting anymore sets.. Holes bug me.. I will stay up nights searching for deals and filling holes.. total coin OCD..
AHHHHH!!! Now I need to Start looking for that Dang 14D.... Its Next!

I have 2 almost complete Lincoln Wheat Cent collections put together so far and I just started coin collecting in 12-2009. I am still missing the 1909-s vdb , 1909-s ,1914-d , 1922-no d & 1931-s (sold my last 1931-s due to did not like the toning) in each set. But as I am waiting to come across those key date coins , I definitely keep my eyes peeled for upgrades to my existing coins in each set. If the coin being replaced in one of those sets has sentimental value to me , I will place it in one of my unlabeled loose Dansco album pages (sort of like the page of honor). However , if the coin being replaced has no real significance , I either sell it or start another Wheat Cent collection for sale on eBay. I would really like to successfully put together an AU++ 70 year set (1909-1979) from circulation , with the exception of key & semi key dates which I would try to win from Teletrade or Heritage auctions in order to insure their grade and authenticity.
