Well, I bought these a week or so ago. Cointalk for some reason has been running extremely slow on my computer so I have sort of been avoiding it as of late. (Yes, I'm sure I'll have to ask forgiveness from the coin gods.) Anyway, I decided I was finally comfortable enough to fill in some of the late 1950's dates. Here's the two I bought. Enjoy. I'm not sure if I see some form of machine doubling on the date or not-could it be a repunched date? I don't have a loupe with me and it very well could be my shaky hands and poor photography skills. I'm not seeing any noticable doubling on any other letters or features of the obverse so I'm not so certain if I'm seeing anything. And the 1959:
Not sure, but I think it could be a lighting/reflection issue going on with the date. Post a larger pic of the area in question?
Not ignoring you, just can't get a good close up with my digital camera. Guess I'll just have to wait until I'm home to get the loupe out.
