There is a group forming a coalition to actively work to clean up the numismatic fraud on eBay and the other auction sites. So far, the people that have responded are in favor. I would now like to know the general consensus opinion and who would be interested in being a part of it.

This would be set-up as a Google group for communication as the groups plan is to be totally objective and not affiliated with any one forum or group. Anyone here that is interested can email me at rggoodie@bellsouth.net (same address as in my profile), as I plan on being involved with this group. Please feel free to post this on other forums that you may belong to. We are hoping for an International membership of 25. We are open to any suggestions that anyone may have.

I'm all for your lofty aims. I regularly report fraudulent auctions of coins within my area of specialization to the EBay Community Coin Watch, and just as regularly get blown off.

I'm just wondering how you feel that adding one more discussion group to the long list of existing ones is going to alter the fact that the scammers put too much money in EBay's cash register to ever get seriously clamped down on.

Roy, this is an action group. The Google group is for coordination.
