Has anyone here bought a 1/50th gold coin? Since the end of our last gold rush in 2011 my guess is gold coin minting companies are accommodating the little people. :D Funny thing is, most people I know aren't gonna spend their hard earned money on an itty bitty coin with a huge premium. With that said, I'm sure there's people who buy these as MCM wouldn't continue selling, especially on pebay as it costs big bucks to sell on the bay. At first, I was surprised to see 1/20ths being sold but 1/50ths? :shame: Dang! What is the gold coin collecting world coming to? Anyone?

Yeah it's really steep, but I'm thinking people who are not in the know, who don't know any better. Kinda like the people who buy coins from Mark Mezack on HSN! :D

I got a gold coin of similar size for less than twenty bucks. And it's 300 years old.

(And it's one of two which will be in my June giveaway.) :)
