Tiny Bottle Cap

    I acquired this tiny bronze Greek coin because of the reverse which looks original to me. The shape is common in my collection and is known as bottle cap whereby the edge is "cut" all over, thus making the coin looks like shining sun. I could read Basileos Antioxoy on obverse. Seleucid of course.. Probably Antiochus I. I'll be happy if someone can attribute this coin, due to the original and rare reverse. It weighs 3.9 g.

    These are very common but yours has a nice full obverse.

    Thanks Dave. I found the attribution and was going to post the answer before I read the gentle yours. Notice that the panther is listed as raising paw and holding a broken spear in mouth.

    Yes that is correct, it is a spear. I have a typo apparently.
