Here's my donation to this thread to try to appease the gods...though just in case I'm putting up shutters, got food and water, and got an evacuation plan just in case I decide to head for a shelter with the family before it strikes.

Thanks. At least we are all veterans of these storms, so we know how to prepare. In my 25 years here in Florida I've been through 3 hurricanes, and 6 or 7 tropical storms, and once a tornado. Yes, we do get tornados in Florida, and although they are rarer and much weaker than the ones you get in the midwest, they are still scary.

 

Was not expecting a major hurricane in my immediate area so relatively soon since the last one a couple of years ago. Before that it had been 12 years since the last big one. Anyways, here’s Poseidon as well. Maybe he can work his magic and keep this storm away.

I have many friends in Puerto Rico .. the hurricane shifted to the north at the very last minute and was not a direct hit. Here's hoping Jupiter steps in and we get a similar result for Florida!!

The first has Elpis to represent hope. The second has Kadmus who seems bravely and apparently fighting the storm. The third has Zeus to satisfy Sallent's taste. There's also a medal of whom you surely guess what? Cheers..
