Time to bust it in two, don't you think?

I'm sure everyone has their own favorite search argument for eBay. If you're like me, you have close to a dozen with some country specific and others grade specific. One of my favorites in the past has been to search on "MS65" in world coins to see a sampling of the very best world coins available on eBay. At one time there would at most 200 coins listed. Could move down the scale to MS64, then MS63 etc to display selections of better coins that might be considered investment type coins.

Now days that isn't a very productive search. If you search on "MS65" today, you will get way over 1,000 hits and most of the coins will be base metal crap that belongs in a dealer junk box or sold by the pound. Yet, some enterprising individuals think they can list some of these turgid little coins for sums like $75 when they are maybe $3 coins, simply because they are in an NGC or PCGS holder.

It occurred to me, that the only solution that will weed out a lot of this type of noise would be for eBay to split the world coins section into 2 separate categories based on the date of the coin.

What would be the date cut-off in your opinion for eBay to adopt? I would suggest 1950 as the cut-off which would segregate most of the base metal coinage with massive mintages into its own category.
