    Seems like a dang shame that I haven't posted any coin pics in almost a month. So I reckon it's time I did. And it's been even longer since I posted a colorful coin pic :eek: This should fix both of those problems ;)

    An 1874-A (Paris mint) 5 francs. The obverse of the coin depicts Hercules flanked on either side by Liberty & Justice. This design has long been a favorite of mine, but until now I have never quite managed to find that one particular coin that just reached out and grabbed me. This did - so I immediately surrendered :D

    I tend to like coins that show a little bit of wear or age. To me it's history and makes me wonder where has this coin been. Plus I could afford those!
