Under Tigranes ( Dikran), Armenia reached the zenith of its power 95 - 55 B.C. He extended the boundaries of Greater Armenia from the Caspian Sea to the borders of Egypt. In 83 B.C. he accepted the crown of the diminished Tigranes O 001.jpg Tigranes R 001.jpg Seleucid Empire from the ruling aristocracy in Antioch. Northern Syria and Cilicia were incorporated into Tigranes' domain as a satrapy, with Antioch as the capital.
The metallic piece below has the shape and design of a coin. I can read in Greek: Basileus and Tigranos, with Sigma as mint mark. It's likely to be an imitation of a possibly ancient coin. I would like to know if such a coin had ever existed.
