Hey there folks, My son and I just received this "tidy house" Morgan Dollar as a secret santa gift and I'd love to show it off and solicit input from the forum about grade. It is even more spectacularly rainbow in hand. Thanks Secret Santa...whoever you are!
Nature was kind to that girl. She's still every bit MS. Call her technical grade, MS63. But if I were you, (1) I wouldn't let her get away, and (2) I'd be thinking, plastic is harmful for the environment (...i.e., I'd keep her in that holder). Pretty coin.
Tidy house dollars usually aren't the highest grade, but I do like the look of them. That obverse is particularly nice. The toning on these is often thick enough that the luster has a hard time shining through. I'd probably guess a 63 on this one.
Oh we will definitely be holding on to it. I feel like the marks on the cheek and neck are hard to determine if they are a result of contact or breaks in the toning. Also, the photos don't do the luster justice (that's tough to say...). This old girl shines in the sun for sure.
