A new addition to my ancient collection. I have wanted a Tiberius for awhile but the tribute penny is just too pricey to me & cheaper examples were too porous or had horn silver. I went ahead with Randy's suggestion on a AE and was attracted to this. Mainly for the portrait, which is better in hand, and the reverse since I have NO ancients with standards as the main reverse.

I found very little info on this type. I know there is a legend on the reverse & cant make it out. And the only example I found of this on Flickr didnt have the legend either. So any info is greatly appreciated.

Spanish provincials have always held a certain charm for me. When I was just starting, I very briefly considered collecting provincial issues with Latin legends.

    Nice coin.

I like it. Didn't find any extra info on it but it looks like a die match for this one . Wonder how rare it is.

I agree with Bill. I too have always been attracted to the semi "celticness" of the Spanish mints, and have considered collecting them.

Very unusual portrait of Tiberius. I certainly would have not guess him just based upon the portrait. To me I find that extremely cool. :)
