Hello friends, I have four great coins for sale, 3 Roman, 1 Byzantine. If you've been looking to collect a few ancients, here's your opportunity to acquire some exceptionally well-detailed, well-preserved specimens, way below retail. PM me if you're interested or if you have any questions about the coins. I will supply buyers with full attributions and dimensions, including translations of the legends and explanations of the devices. Paypal, check, or money order. Shipping is $4 in the US, combined. If you live outside the US, we'll talk. Coins are guaranteed authentic for life. 1. Here's a large bronze of that infamous bad-boy, Nero (AD 54-68). Own a coin of the emperor that watched Rome burn! (Don't you think John Belushi in Animal House was a dead ringer for Nero?) $39 2. Here's a coin of Licinius II (AD 317-324), the son of the Licinius who duked it out with Constantine the Great and plunged the empire into a vicious civil war. Licinius II was only a boy when this coin was minted, on which he's playing dress-up as a soldier. The reverse is Jupiter with myriad attendants. Super detail on this coin. $25 3. Here is a coin of Gratian (AD 375-383). The reverse depicts the emperor leading a captive into the light of Christianity, symbolized by labarum - a banner with the Chi-Rho symbol on it. $20 4. Finally, a very large bronze of Byzantine emperor Justinian I (AD 527-565). Justinian sought to reunite the Roman empire and revive it's old glory. He managed it for a while, until everybody decided to go their own way and start drawing the borders which would eventually become modern Europe. $25 $100 takes the whole lot ($10 off). These coins make great talking points. Pass them around to your friends - the great thing about ancient coins is that they're way past the point where a fingerprint matters. Hold some history!
