Three Different Cent Coin Types in Change

I was at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago today at my niece's first bithday party and bought an over-priced hot dog. The cashier gave me these three coins in my change. What are the odds?

1 - Candaian 2006
1 - 1957-D wheatie
1 - 2009 LP4

Nice score. All are keepers - at least to me. I do not think I have seen the LP4 yet.

wow, that is very lucky. I still have not had the fortune to find ANY of the 2009 cents in change.

 

I see LP1 through LP4 cents all the time but never any D's. I have yet to see a 2009 dime or a 2009 nickel in ciruclation. Usually the toll booths are good for newer dimes and nickels but not this year.

I didn't even mention how many penny smashing machines the Shedd has. My son managed to turn about about $2.55 into nothing of value while we were there. He collects those enlongated pennies from all over the place. He has quite a collection. I collect coins while he destroys them. LOL!
