What do you guys think ?? Would these be worth putting on the bay ?? FIRST THE 70S , NEXT , THE 71S , AND LAST THE 72
I don't think they will bring any money, not doublED dies. I don't think they will bring any money, not doublED dies. Whenever you see doubling in the same direction on mint-mark and date 99.99% of the time with no other doubling it is not a doubled die - doubled dies happen during the hubbing of the die before the mint-mark is appiled before the 1990's. When you see doubled images that are flat and appear scotted, pushed or pulled it is mechanical or machine doubling. In other words your coins happened from a loose die not a doublED die.
The 1970-S is a large date. The machine doubling makes it appear that it is small date. Check out the direction of the tail on the 1st and last image. It points downwards on the tail of the 9, not toward the center of the 9 and is machine doubled. Also note on the last image the position on the 7. Large date. The 1972 is a 1972P-1DO-003. Worth a modest premium in the circulated state. The clincher for me on this coin was the die scratches through GOD.
