    Hello,

I have had these three 2 reales cobs since the 90's. I believe they are 1738 from Guatemala, a 1729 from Peru, and a 1761 from Potosi. Any help in estimating the value of these coins would be appreciated.

    Thank you,
    AG

Cobs are hard to put a value on. I have one that I picked up on the coast after a hurricane. Beautiful piece and I estimate mine is maybe a $50.00-$75.00 coin. But like any coin the value is predicated on mint, rarity, condition… All the typical criteria. The fellow in the know is a guy called Daniel Sedwick and he has a website dedicated to cobs. Just Google his name and you will see his website. I photographed my cob and emailed it to him and he shot right back with very nice reply telling me all about my cob. I would bet he would do the same for you.
