I'm a big fan of dark coins as long as I get to see it in hand before I'm stuck with it. I might have paid $50 for it. Some don't care for the look and would not pay that much. An image with a bit more light on the coin might change my opinion. What do you grade it?
I was drawn to the darkness, plus I like how intact the letters are. All in all, I really wanted a silver three. lol. My christmas splurge. And I'm not a grading expert but I assume F-VF.
Very nice. Have always like the odd denomination coins. The darkening tone doesn't detract anything at all.
