I'm not a "hard core" collector but I do have a lot of coins. I always examine them closely whenever a new one joins the group. This coin was in a bunch I recently obtained and wonder about the blemish along the edge. Is it a die issue of some sort? The coin is in a jacket. Any & all comments welcome, Greg
Besides from the 'blemish,' I see the coin as being porous in the pics. Cast counterfeit? Did you weigh it?
that might be an error. like a cracked die or something. wait for someone who is more experienced in this field before taking my word for it though.
1) if this is real that (on the reverse) is called a cud. 2) IF this is real, it looks pitted or something
