    Hey y'all,

I was wondering what my Thracian Chersonesus (4th century BC) rated VF by NGC would be worth. Based on the positioning of the lion, what do you think? I have looked online but most examples include a better positioned lion. :)

Browsing VCoins.com and extrapolating a price from that (i.e., "reading between the lines" ) will likely give you a good indication of general (retail) price range. Sounds like you've already done a little of that sort of thing.

As you have noticed, the strike is not so well centered and the lion's head is a bit off the flan. There are a good many of these out there and yours is not a choice specimen, but I've seen worse, too. Any ancient Greek silver is fun.

The slab will not get any respect with collectors of ancient coins but could potentially boost the coin's value to the general public or those who typically collect US coins.

It's not a bad little coin overall.
