I've had this little thing in my "Bag of what are these" for a while... and came across it again tonight and thought I would just collect a few thoughts.

I'm leaning more to this being the cause. But with coins, sometimes it's really hard to tell. Thanks for your thought

The clip is only on the obverse. The reverse shows no signs of any clip.

Someone played around with that Roosie to get you thinking.

 

Yeah, PMD. looks like someone was shaving some metal off of that one.

 

I would have to say PMD without more detailed photos of the effected area.

 

Looks like someone tried to make a clip to me so I’m with the PMD crowd.
