Came across this, pushed it aside. Most likely PMD! Sometimes more eyes are helpful. Acid Dip? 20240410_085656.jpg 20240410_085728.jpg 20240410_085719.jpg 20240410_085708.jpg 20240410_08_58_22.png 20240410_08_58_31.png 20240410_08_59_38.png

Looks like a texas cent. :)

    Definition:
A Texas Cent is a cent with a larger diameter that was damaged intentionally after it left the mint. The normal method is to hammer the cent between 2 pieces of (usually) leather. Commonly seen on cents that have had their plating removed, but not always.

I think that the plating has been removed. The surfaces seem to have a texture instead of luster.
You can try to weigh it.
The copper plating does not weigh enough to tell much.

It looks like an coin struck on an unplated planchet with 30 years of oxidization and handling.

Either plating removed, or, one of those grade school chemistry class experiments, utilizing heat, metals, chemicals to change the color of coins. Pennies are most frequently used for such.

Weight is normal, back to circulation it goes! Thanks for all the feedback. Appreciated very much!

So it's the same size as other cents.
I will change my answer to removed plating.

    Here’s a question for youall
Has there ever been a certified no plating cent?
    If so which years?

It's been de-plated after it was in circulation.

Not a genuine 'struck on an un-plated zinc planchet'.
