Looking at this wheat penny today I came across two question spots on this particular coin. Can anyone help answer my two questions about this coin?

Question 1: When you look at the IGWT - you notice the arrows pointing to these spots above the letters. What are these spots?

Question 2: Does this look like a little doubling in the letter U in Trust?

As always I thank everyone for their replies in my quest to learn more.

That coin was minted by a worn die. Those spots look like the top of the IGWT letters. A worn die also causes a doubling look but it’s not a doubled die.

I agree that your coin was struck with worn dies. Dies wear out after striking thousands of coins and it starts to show in the places that you highlighted.

That is so amazing how you did that and
particularly how you made those yellow arrows so perfectly parallel. Mine always come out crooked, so now I don’t never do it no more, what’s the use?
