I would like some opinions from the folks here as to condition and possible grade not quite sure what to make of it.. I get the feeling it has been cleaned at some point and it seems to have some hard chin and lower neck hits.. It is in a holder, though I am not familiar with SGS.
SGS? hahaha...dont be a fool man! The reverse looks cleaned for sure. Stay very far away from any fake grading company! Can you send in your coins to SGS for grading? I bet you cant
The reverse looked cleaned to me as well, looks like cleaning marks from 11 o'clock to about 5 o'clock
I agree almost 100%..the only part we don't agree on is the submitting part. You CAN submit...but they are owned by ebay seller Aboncoin, so, your presumption they just put their own coins in slabs is almost right on, but, and I don't know why one would (unless you wanted all SGS MS70's), they will accept submissions. I don't imagine they get too many submissions, but you can. Someplace in Ohio.
SGS has a nice little .org website that you can send your coins in for grading! haha He's trying hard to rip you off man! Thats my opinion. I see others with SGS coins on ebay...and theyre not from OH like SGS's po box. Ive seen many of these 4th party grading companys profit like mad! 1 grade up can be a huge difference on morgans.
The only 'real' grading companies you should trust are PCGS, NGC, and to a lesser degree, ANACS and ICG. Consider ANY OTHER 'GRADED' coin, as a raw coin and bid accordingly. SGS has been ridiculed on coin message boards for years, now.
That was why I asked for opinions and such about the coin and the TPG especially since there is a big difference between 63 and 64 and up with this date and definitely not MS66.
About MS 63 details. Toning is a bit spotty and neutral to negative. I cannot discern signs of a cleaning in the photograph.
I always see your posts Rickles!! but afraid to ask....thought you may just be a look alike! haha classic Rickles is still doin his thing man...one of the real kings of comedy! I once had my own grading company, website and all..just like this SGS. That was back when I first started. I wouldnt do that now because a) I have a reputation now and b) its just not cool. I used to think everybody makes money by ripping each other off essentially and that the key to getting rich is manipulation. I no longer crave wealth the way I used too, and Im much happier now and a much better person.
