Here is my second submission for your thoughts on grade, guidance on to Slab or not to Slab.
This is a pretty 1938D Walking Liberty Half Dollar. I have some concerns about coloration below and the date on the obverse and what impact it might have on grading.

I attach two regular photo's and a closer image of the coloration. Basically I wonder if it is rust.

To slab or not to slab, any thoughts on grade?

AU details cleaned. You can see hairlines in the obverse fields pretty clearly.

My guess would be an AU 50.
Not sure if it's been cleaned or not though. It's hard to tell from the photos.

A grading service will slab it with a details grade due to the cleaning so it would not be worth the expense of sending this one in. It is, however, a good enough coin that you can use it in a trade/cash deal for a problem free example already graded.

I agree, AU details but obviously cleaned.
