Thoughts and grade for this 1950D Jefferson

    Lovely, MS-65. I don't do much with toning, so I can't say if it is artificially toned or not. But it looks nice and natural to me.

    well, if those streaks across the steps are toning and not dings I'd say MS-66 FS

    Mike, if you worked for PCGS or NGC, I would no doubt request that you grade all my nickels!

    At least MS65 IMHO. Can't see any major hits and the toning is a plus. Possibly 5FS but the steps look a bit blurry to the right. Nice pickup!

    I would agree with 66 if that is toning across the steps, but even if toning would say not full steps. I think it would depend on whether it was sent to PCGS or NGC, PCGS may say full steps.

    Btw would be interested in what Paul says. :) I respect others opinions as well of course.

    It looks like it might go 5 steps but guess we would see what others might think. It is all tone across the reverse and looks really nice.

    Thanks, hope to still hear some other opinions as well.. There are a few others I am also looking at which I will be posting soon..
