This is my favorite coin find. Not my most valuable, I just love these...

..type of coins. They are my all time favorite type of coin. So much detail on such a small surface.
These usually come outta the ground with the date missing and pretty worn. It all depends on the condition it was in when dropped. I have been detecting going on 6 years now and have only found 6 of these type coins. This by far is my best condition one. Jim

Ahhh yes, the really beauty of our nation's coins.

I just wish that they bring back the beauty, liberty, freedom and majasty of these beautiful designs. Unfortunately with the debate ($1 coin for 2006) having dead presidents grace our coins along with first ladies gracing gold coins, sometimes the very answer to coin designs can be found in the past, rather than what current politics dictate.

Just the possibility that Hillary may grace our coins one day may make me give up collecting altogether.

I love SLQs :D, truly one of our nation's most beautiful coin designs. Looks like you have a Type-I, truly a great find in that condition out of the ground!! I have one in BU, and it's one of my favorites, at least in the top 10!! :D :D

Think about this - she may wind up on a dollar and Bill may wind up on gold.

Certaintly one of our most beautiful designs!

The reason you find many of the Standing Liberty Quarters with the date worn off is that, unlike in many other series, the date is actually a high point on the design.
