This is doctored… right?

    Weird finish on it. It doesn’t look right to me. Just making sure I’m not missing anything… thoughts?

    It's been messed with. I want to say it looks like it's been sandblasted.

    It may have been left in an acid soak for too long. The dealers used to call it “fried.”

    Doctored? No, just the Katzenjammer kids testing out the pig poop quality when mixed with chicken pellets fired with a slingshot.
    That is not an example of a "doctored" piece, in the traditional numismatic meaning.

    ED. Environmental damage. Cause? Only the person that did it knows. Might have laid in an acidic liquid or been buried in dirt with high acid content and then cleaned.
    The bottom line is that it is PMD and NAV.
