    Does anyone know anything about this medallion. This came in my yard sale frenzy also.

    Can't tell you much specific information regarding the composition, mintage etc but it commemorates Oliver Hazard Perry and the Battle of Lake Erie in 1813.

    More info,
    Even though it appears to be silver,it it probably a restrike made after 1869.The originals had the engraver's name,Furst F., on both sides and yours only has it on the reverse.Here is where I learned about this.
