Why did this 1868 Indian cent go for $12.50. Red book has it at $45. G-4 condition.http://cgi.ebay.com/1868-INDIAN-HEA...ryZ41085QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
This link should work better - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270205224084&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D270205224084%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1 $12.50 sounds like a fairly good price for that '68 IH (but not a great price). It looks like the coin has some problems. I don't think I would have bought it for much more than $12.50.
I think it is a good buy, but there is environmental damage evident on the obverse. I would say it's worth $20-22, though.
Sorry - but I wouldn't touch it for 12.50, but 12.50 is about right. If you are going to buy a trouble coin at least get one like this 1868. I spent $40 dollars on the coin and the details are XF. Now if it would just brown up(on its own of course).
