Hello all, I'm thinking about having this Lincoln cent graded and slabbed so I wanted to know if it would be a waste of money. Please examine the coin entirely. It may be MD, but I'm not entirely sure. Thanks for your help, Chas.
Hi Chas, I would not have a coin slabbed until I was 100% sure of its attribution and condition. jeankay
Thats what I was wondering. What year/mint is this? And yes, make SURE you know the attribution, if any, BEFORE you spend the $$$$
Here's a pic of the obverse. Yeah, I know the 92's a renoun for MD, but never had one without the front that had MD. Oh, and yeah, I always come on CT before spending $$$ to have a coin graded or tossed. I'm not too concerned about the obverse, but its the front I'm "like woah", LoL. Edit: I've never seen the memorial like this, a little bit different form the 'gas bubble' pic I posted a few days ago. Thanks for the help and knowledge.
Edit: I was a little too aggressive in my response (nothing bad though). Time to delete what I wrote. Thanks for the help.
Definitely not. Now, this is just how I feel about it, but with a 92P I just look for a close AM and the eye die chip (or what some believe to be doubling) and then throw it in the return pile. Sure... everyone has their own opinions on searching, but personally, I find it counterproductive to spend the time to look at every tiny detail on every cent.
