I sold off nearly all of my Peace dollars a few years ago, And I have an empty Dasco album. It hadn't really bothered much, except that Peace dollars seem to be catching my eye lately. With this one I only have 19 left. Gonna try and keep the budget under $140 ea. For the most part under $100. Might even try to find the Major Variety's. This will be a first for me, as I have yet to set out to complete a set. Unless it is random any date coins. I have filled many of those. Here is the latest. That crackled toning makes it look beat up. And she has her fair share of bag marks. LOL This is probably a 60 or 61 coin in todays market. Could even get dropped to a 58.
Sounds like a fun set. And it seems like the 1921 is finally easing up a bit after the large bump it saw in 2021 as part of the 100th anniversary.
I got mine for a steal. It definitely wasn't loved. But for cheap enough to gamble with. It is actually sitting a RW album trying to get a skin back. I may take it out and get some updated photos.
Sounds like a fun set to put together. The 1921 will be a hard one but the 1928 will be impossible at that price.
Do you have a '21, Pickin'? I seem to have a few more than I need.... I don't know why I keep buying them. I think it is like a "Catcher in the Rye" sort of thing. I may need to seek help...
I do @Randy Abercrombie I Picked this one up in 2020. Probably still needs that dip. Just not sure that I want to. It would definitely brighten up the reverse, but not sure if it would be better. For $27 in an antique store, I couldn't pass it up. 21' Peace Dollar. Not sure what to do? | Coin Talk Here are some updated photos.
Yes, it obviously has it's problems though. I was amazed, just the same. Key date for an above average cull price.
