think i got a good deal

    Had a lady on Facebook offer me a 1921 Morgan a 1923 peace dollar and a 1917&1941 walking liberty all for $20 I'm suppose to go pick it up at 3 can't wait

    If they are authentic, I'd probably throw in a little more cash. $20 for these coins is less than 50% of melt.

    But I'd also approach this situation with caution, because deals that seem too good to be true usually are...

    If you meet her in the middle at $30, you're still getting a good deal and you get some good karma out of it. Plus, I just love reverse negotiating with people. They offer something to me for $20, and I shake my head and counter with $30. It really messes with their mind. o_O

    I'd take my Russian speaking bodyguards with me if I was going to do that deal. Yes, I really do have Russian speaking bodyguards that come to coin shows with me.

    Except your wife and that $20 in your pocket.

    It's better to be safe than sorry. Drop your wife off with a sniper rifle 200 yards from where you're meeting this woman. ;)

    Even if you get those items from her, be cautious if she has other items for sale, coin related or not. A lot of hot merchandise is fenced that way without having to advertise it.

    The 1923 peace dollar looks different from my other one this one has more like a mirror look to it
