I saw the Certificate of Authenticity for the ASE 20th Anniversary set today, and am curious that the proof coin is .005 inches thicker (.122) than both the reverse proof and the uncirculated (.117). Is this a typo or this true?
I have no reason to doubt it - Proofs are struck at least twice ans at much higher pressures than business strike coins - so the relief is a bit better (thicker).
GDJSMP, That's what I was thinking but if it's the case, the Reverse Proof should be of the same thickness as the regular Proof Another mint mystery I guess
