I feel the mint made a real mistake by not holding the mintage on the 1 ounce unc w mint marked gold eagles at 30,000 and minted the other gold unc denominations to keep their credibility intact. They should take lessons from the baseball card companies when their collector base dropped with over production of sets!!
The only thing I find surprising about it is that they didn't decide to issue the Reverse Proof as an individual as well.
