I'm thinking of getting a few gold coins just to help round out my coin collection. I realize coin is pretty much at an all time high, but if I start learning some inforation now, maybe it will come down some before I buy. What gold coins would you recommend ? Are foreign gold coins a good or bad investment ? What do you thnk the best gold coin for the buck is ? Possibly the Coronet $ 2.50 Quarter Eagle ? Any suggestions on a good dealer ?
I think the best for the buck is the $20 Liberty. But the dealers here can probably provide you with better info. You could even put together a type set of the various $20 gold denominations. Gold of all types lends itself to type sets.
