Were there any expected or proposed designs for the Reagan dime before the idea was shot down? What would have been on the reverse? A monument or other nationalistic symbol.

Don't get me wrong, I like FDR just fine, but from an artistic standpoint, I'm always up for a little change. (Plus I discovered many people think it's Ike on the dime anyway)

Personally, I'd like to see Lady Liberty again. I don't like the modern designs. I don't feel that they have the flow and beauty of the earlier US coinage.

Reagan' portrait on the face side and Lady Liberty with Eastern Europe in the background on the obverse would make a nice coin design in my mind. However, Reagan himself would not have wanted that so soon after his departure.

Reagan's ugly mug is not one that I wish to see on any currency :D

How about the Smiling Regan photo? This way you see more teeth then face. Or we could use a pre-presential image like a still from "The Knute Rocky Story' and have the words "just win one for the gipper" ,(I think that's the quote), under it. It will be good for the kids and maybe for that college in the midwest as well.

Seriously, I am a big fan of Reagan but I respect anyones views to the contrary. This is the United States after all and I hope the next generation learns that fact of acceptance as well.

Maybe in the future the man's vision for a free Eastern Europe will be honored here as it is in Poland and elsewhere.

Bonzo could be on the reverse.

I am a hugh Reagan fan, but I don't want to see anybody grace our coins unless they were a founding father or they have been dead for at least 100 years. That way, politics and name calling can be kept at bay.

Bring back Lady Liberty designs or those designs that represent majasty, grace and freedom (i.e. Buffalo Nickel).

That way those that would rather name call instead of examine history will not lose sleep.
