If anyone is looking to score such a rarity, Teletrade has 29 of them up for auction on the 6th of may.
That would be the final one in my set. I bought a 21-D last year at the FUN show, but couldn't get a nice 38-D even though I bid on seven of them.
It may not really be a rarity in the classic sense, but finding a nice example without an outrageous price can be difficult to say the least.
Point taken, but price has nothing to do with availability. If we used the cost logic, there are many relatively common coins that could then be considered rare. I believe common white 64-65 Morgans to be overpriced/overvalued, so finding coins at a price I would be comfortable with could also be considered difficult.
