I would like to know the process of getting one of my coins professionaly graded. They are not just everyday coins, these are proof coins. - A commerative Marine Corps. Coin (2006) - And a 2006 proof silver eagle These are real nice and still in the fancy boxes and velvet cases with their plastic covers. They are real nice and look flauless from where i can examine with a 9x magnifying glass. I would like to send in the silver eagle first and then if all goes well the marine corps coin. Any help would be well appreciated. Peter
You have to be a member of the "Club" for either ngc or pcgs. they each have their own clubs you must join before you submit your coins. There is a club membership fee and a submission fee. - You might want to think twice about having your coins professionally graded. It is expensive and unless the coin is graded really high you will loose money on the deal. Won't be cost effective. IMO - it is a gamble that you will break even.

Seems you are paying for that grading premium. I think the coin needs to be worth at least 100.00 - 150.00 in their raw state to be worth it to "me" to pay for that expence.
