Apologies for the abominable pictures. Here are my latest acquisitions. The first is a PCGS MS65+ 1945-P war nickel. This is the first plus coin in my collection. I understand that the plus indicates that it is a very nice coin for its grade, but I don't know much else about it. Is an MS66 worth more than a MS65+? Are plus grades a rarity? I don't see them very often. My next coin is the PCGS MS65 1938-S Jefferson nickel on the right. I bought it as a companion to my 1938-D buffalo nickel. I think they make a charming pair. I've had the buffalo nickel for a year or so, but I wanted to take pics of both of these old nickels together. I want to know more about the plus designation.
