ANACS had a full page ad in Coin World showing their new slab. Here is a scan of it. :kewl: :thumb: :thumb: Charlie
Its looks neat i need to check it out. I guess they are trying to keep up with the other company's new slabs.
Much better looking than the old slab which is on a white background. Also, the font looks better than that dot matrix printer label. Having a description on top of the slab is nice too. The question is size? Sonically sealed? Strength? All in all, from a presentation standpoint, it looks good. My concern is with how well the coin holds up over time. That is one of the reason I like slabs...preservation, protection and presentation are important along with a consistent grade. Looks like James Taylor (initially from ICG) is pushing the right buttons at Anacs. At least they have the mind set to look at their product and deem it needed improvement. Now...if they can cut down economy service turnarounds from 3 months to 6 weeks, I will be impressed!
That is HOT....I like them much better than NGC slabs.....I can't wait to talk more to Mr Taylor and get more info on this slab... Speedy
That's drop-dead gorgeous. I may have to get some of my stuff slabbed, just to see them in those beautiful holders.
I like the new wording but don't you think all that clear plastic will show scratches easlly. Making the collection look old and scruffy within a short time.
Does anyone know what the dimensions are? Will these fit the form-fitted storage boxes designed to hold anacs slabs. I sure hope so, I don't wanna be left with a bunch of worthless boxes.
I does look like a nice slab. I wonder the same things as many of you do. Will it scratch or scuff easily, is it sonically sealed, are they able to be stacked, how is the size in relation to other company's slabs or ANACS old slabs, etc.? They are a pretty neat, modern design though and quite different looking than any other company's slabs.
I also wonder when ANACS will have something up on their website. I at least can't find anything yet.
According to my calculations, the new ANACS slab is approximately 53MM by 74MM, or about the size of the current ANACS slab. Charlie
