Well while I am saving for a few notes that are just the cream of the crop...this came along to me. I thought I would go ahead and buy it.... What do you think about this Obsolete?? MY son AJ will love it! It is in CHCU Regards, RickieB
Phoenix... My Son AJ loves trains so much...that wehen he was 3.5-4 yrs old he was operating a Lionel Elect Train Set "Polar Express". He has every Thomas the Tank Engine toy train and then some... my word, if I had the $$$ back for all those trains I could have a 1899 $5 Silver Cert Chief Running Antelope in CHCU! Being the only child, he gets pretty much what he wants..have to curb that real quick..he is kind of spoiled....but a very bright kid at 5 Thanks for taking a peek...this was a expensive note...I think just the $3 remains and those are just as pricey! Regards, RickieB
As far as I know...this Obsolete has 3 denomintions, the $1, $2 and $3 notes. The Book I want to get from DCK is sold out on the Obsoletes..if anyone has any detailed info I would appreciate it very much. These notes all go between 300 and 500 ea and to have a full set would be just grand! In CHCU I have never seen them below that $$$ figure, issued or un-issued. The $3 dollar note does not support the Train Them on the face of the note, however it is indeed beautiful as well. Thanks for looking everyone and again, any info would be appreciated. Regards, RickieB
Thank you Art! I have recently learned from a dealer friend of mine in Idaho that the Obsoletes with Railroad Vignets are by far the most popular notes and they have steadily gone up in value. Suppose my 5 yr old son is on to something here LOL Gotta love those trains!! RickieB
Aye! your sone has a great eye for supperb collectibles that will certainly increase in value! I may need to hire him to help my retirement portfolio
Hey Daggerjohn... Get him now while he is cheap...no child labor lwas either..LOL. Thanks for taking a peek. RickieB
